Sunday worship gatherings are a great start to living a life following Jesus. But what about the rest of the week?
Midpoint Communities exist to help you live your whole life as a faithful follower of Jesus. Midpoint Communities are smaller expressions of the same community that exists on Sunday morning. These groups allow you to get to know people at a deeper level. They also provide context to help live your whole life as a follower of Jesus in the world. These groups meet in homes, coffee shops, restaurants, and all sorts of places.
But what if I'm not comfortable going to the house of someone I don't know?
We recognize that it takes time to become comfortable enough with people to participate in a group that meets in someone's home. That's why Midpoint exists.
Midpoint is the hub for all Midpoint Communities. It happens on Wednesday evenings at the church building, and it is facilitated by one of our pastors. Midpoint provides an intermediate step where you can experience what our Midpoint Communities are like in an environment that may feel more comfortable.
How do I get connected?
Midpoint and Midpoint Communities run in 8-week cycles to provide natural beginnings and endings. This allows you to try a group for a reasonable period of time without feeling stuck. Cycles run January-March, April-May, and September-November.
You can register for the next Midpoint here, or if you'd like to connect to an existing Midpoint Community, you can complete this form. Vineyard Altoona staff will reach out to you to help you get connected!
